Hello

I’m Evyn Lewis, a relationship-focused coach and clinical supervisor who helps people move through complex seasons with clarity and grounded emotional intelligence. I blend psychology, attachment, and practical skill-building to support individuals, partners, polycules, and clinicians who want depth, honesty, and direction.

With over a decade in mental health and addiction services (LPCC-S, LICDC), I bring a clinical foundation into coaching that’s rigorous, accessible, and collaborative. My style is direct, warm, and focused on helping people think clearly enough to make choices they trust.

Shadowroot Studio is for anyone navigating transitions, reshaping relationships, expanding identity, or growing as a clinician. I offer structure, perspective, and grounded support at every step.

Welcome. Let’s work with what’s emerging.

My Story

Shadowroot Studio grew out of a simple truth: most people are trying to live lives they never consciously chose. For years, I watched clients—and myself—navigate relationships, careers, identities, and major transitions with a quiet sense that something wasn’t quite aligned. We had followed the rules, checked the boxes, did what we were “supposed” to do, and still found ourselves wondering why life felt tight, small, or confusing.

My own journey mirrors the work I do now. I’ve lived through the slow unraveling of old identities, the grief and liberation of major life transitions, the courage of reshaping relationships, and the painstaking work of unlearning what I was taught about love, self-worth, and what a life is “allowed” to look like. I didn’t build Shadowroot from a place of having it all figured out—I built it from the conviction that clarity and self-honesty are powerful enough to change everything.

Professionally, I spent over a decade in mental health and addiction services—working with individuals, families, crisis teams, supervision structures, and clinical leadership. The work was meaningful, but I kept seeing something missing in the traditional model: space for nuance, space for identity exploration, space for the parts of life that don’t fit neatly into diagnostic categories. People needed room to breathe, to question, to intentionally design their relationships and futures. They needed depth without rigidity, support without performance, and guidance that made space for complexity instead of shrinking it.

Shadowroot is the result of that realization. It’s the place I wish existed earlier in my own life—somewhere grounded, intelligent, emotionally steady, and honest enough to hold the full mess of being human. A space where people can unpack their conditioning, explore polyamory or relational restructuring, navigate transitions, or rebuild themselves after difficult seasons without shame.

My story is ultimately about clarity: learning to trust my own voice, making choices aligned with who I was becoming, and stepping into work that allows others to do the same. Shadowroot is the continuation of that path. If you’re here, you’re probably somewhere on your own version of it—and I’m glad you found your way.
